SARS-like?

A WHO researcher met on last week Canadian health officials who are puzzled by a new virus that looks like it is linked to SARS but does not act like the deadly illness.

The new virus was discovered at a Vencouver-area nursing home that was struck by a cold-like illness in July. Three people died of respiratory Problems during the outbreak, but most who fell ill suffered only mild symtons.

Rumour is it that there is one Hong Kong patient infected by this SARS-like virus and is now in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kowloon. Is it really true?
