World Environment Day

5 Jun 2003 was World Environment Day, which was a day to remind all nations to protect the environment and fight against pollution.

In Hong Kong, ECC (Environment Campaign Committee) and Environmental Protection Department jointly organised a territory wide green trail walk activity on Sunday, 22 Jun 2003 (today). This activity is with the theme "Walking for a Green and Healthy Hong Kong" for the whole of Hong Kong Community to literally "exercise" the importance of healthy living and envrionemntal protection. The theme is to unit together to reconstruct the confidence of Hong Kong and show the world that Hong Kong is a healthy and environmentally friendly city.
